The leader of Vox, Santiago Abascal, had a “endearing reunion” this Saturday with the elected president of Argentina, Javier Milei, with 24 hours to go before his inauguration in Buenos Aires.

According to the photo that emerged, the meeting took place at the Hotel Libertador, in the Argentine capital, where the Argentine economist has had his work headquarters for about two months, between the electoral campaign and his current work as president-elect, and where he formed his office and receives numerous visitors.

After the meeting, which lasted more than 40 minutes, according to Vox sources, Abascal published a message on his social network account of the Argentine Nation, Javier Milei”.

“Irrevocably twinned in the cultural and political battle for freedom and against leftist ruin,” concluded the message, which was accompanied by a photo of both.

Furthermore, according to sources from the group he leads, Abascal and Milei “have committed to maintaining close and permanent relations to continue fighting against the harmful machinery of the Puebla Group and the Sao Paulo Forum.”

On the eve of his arrival in Argentina, the Spanish far-right leader described Milei's ascension to the Argentine Presidency as an “admirable historical feat”, after defeating the official candidate, the Minister of Economy, Sergio, in the second round of elections held on November 19. Massa.

According to sources, Milei and Vox have maintained a close collaboration “for more than three years” in the Disenso Foundation, since the now elected president of Argentina signed the 'Madrid Charter', the founding document of Foro Madrid.

As a result of this collaboration, the Argentine economist has participated in various Spanish training events.

In October 2021, after obtaining his seat as a deputy, he participated in a massive Vox event on a giant screen from Buenos Aires.

A year later, at the VIVA22 festival, organized by Vox and with the participation of several members of the European extreme right, such as the Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, Milei gave an in-person speech in which he summarized: “Go, and fight. This is not for the lukewarm, it is to take it against the socialists and win the battle against them.”

When on November 19, Milei was proclaimed winner of the elections, Abascal congratulated on the same social network for his “great victory” and expressed his joy that “a path of future and hope is opening up for Argentines and all of Latin America that we celebrate in Spain with special joy”.
