The dating platform Tinder announced this Monday that users can ask their friends and family, regardless of whether they have an account or not, to act as their “cupid” and recommend Tinder profiles.

This new feature, called Tinder MatchmakerTM, is available in fifteen countries, including the United States, Brazil, France, Mexico, Spain and the United Kingdom, and will be implemented worldwide “in the coming months,” according to the application. .

Tinder explains in a statement that users can share their link with up to fifteen friends or family, these selected people have 24 hours “to play cupid” and will be able to “recommend profiles for the Tinder user, but they will not be able to chat or send messages on your name”.

“Once the session expires, Tinder users will have the opportunity to review the profiles their matchmakers like,” emphasizes the statement from the world-famous dating app.

“For years, singles have asked their friends to help them find their next match on Tinder, and now we make it super easy with Tinder Matchmaker,” Melissa Hobley, Tinder's chief marketing officer, writes in the release.
