The shocking duel between a Russian tank and another Ukrainian one less than 10 meters away: "It looks like a Western shootout"

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense published this Wednesday on its social networks a shocking video where a Ukrainian T-64BV tank destroys a Russian T-72B3 armored vehicle and kills its occupants.. The footage, recorded by the 128th Mountain Assault Brigade, has gone viral on social networks to be filled with comments of support from users related to Ukraine.

In the video, you can see from an aerial perspective how the Ukrainian tank hides between some hedges to take advantage of an oversight by the Russian vehicle and fire a cannon shot at it at an extremely close distance, less than 10 meters. Later, with the enemy tank already neutralized, the Ukrainian fires again and leaves shortly after.

“I give the Ukrainian crew a 9 out of 10,” comments one user, while another is surprised by the short distance between the tanks: “this must be one of the closest tank duels in history”. Another finds similarities between the video and Wild West duels: “It looks like a shootout from a Western.”

According to the Ukrainian media Pravda, since the war began in February 2022, the Russian army has lost a total of 8,883 armored tanks, the vast majority of which have been destroyed..
