The authorities in the south of the state of Louisiana (USA) are investigating the discovery of the body of a woman who was found in the freezer of an Arby's restaurant chain.

As reported by NBC, the body of the woman, an employee of the restaurant located in the town of New Iberia, was found shortly after 6 p.m. Thursday, the police of this town said in a statement.

“This matter remains under investigation, and no criminal act is suspected at this time,” police said. No other details have been revealed.. The identity of the woman was not confirmed either.

New Iberia is a city of about 28,000 people about 20 miles southeast of Lafayette.

Arby's is a chain of fast food restaurants based in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Costa Rica.. It is mainly known for selling beef sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, potato cakes, French fries, chicken and milkshakes.
