Trial of Daniel Sancho, live | Maximum expectation for the imminent statement of either the accused or his father before the judge

INTERNATIONAL / By Luis Moreno

The trial against Daniel Sancho for the alleged murder and subsequent dismemberment of Colombian Edwin Arrieta in Thailand resumes this Tuesday and, despite the delays, could conclude this week, during which the accused will provide his testimony. This week’s first session in the Provincial Court of Samui (southern Thailand) will commence with the testimony of three police officers called by the Defense, followed by either Sancho or his father, actor Rodolfo Sancho, depending on the judge’s decision.

The trial, which was postponed last Thursday due to air conditioning issues caused by an intense heat wave in Thailand, is expected to proceed “as normal” as the power line problem was fixed over the weekend. The canceled session and shortened session from last week may result in the defense not having enough time to call all their witnesses during the remaining four trial days until Friday, when the proceedings are scheduled to conclude.
