AfD lead candidate to step down from party board
Maximilian Krah, the lead candidate for the Alternative for Germany (AfD) in the European parliament elections, has announced that he will no longer participate in campaign activities and will resign from the party’s leadership board.
Krah has recently faced a series of controversies. In a recent interview, the right-wing politician made a statement suggesting that wearing an SS uniform did not automatically make someone a criminal.
This comment has resulted in France’s National Rally declaring that they will not align with the AfD in the upcoming parliament, highlighting divisions within Europe’s far-right and nationalist movements just weeks before the European elections.
